For the first time in program history, the WVU baseball team is going to the Men’s College World Series after finishing off a two-game sweep of Cal Poly in the NCAA Super Regionals Saturday (June 6) at Kendrick Family Ballpark. The Mountaineers will face Troy at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday (June 12).

The No. 16 Mountaineer baseball team scored five runs in the top of the ninth to defeat Kentucky, 11-9, Sunday (May 31) and force a game seven in the NCAA Morgantown Regional at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch against the Wildcats is 6 p.m. tonight (June 1).
