The Center for Black Culture and Research will welcome 14 incoming African American freshmen to campus on Sunday (June 23) during an opening ceremony at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Libraries and the West Virginia and Regional History Center will use words and pictures to tell the story of early photography in America from 1840 to 1915 as part of their West Virginia Day program June 20 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The West Virginia Birthday Party event takes place from 1-6 p.m. Saturday on High Street. Street closures and parking restrictions will allow vendors and performers time to prepare for the event.
WVU Libraries and the Community Engagement in Science Through Art program invite the public to the Evansdale Library on the Morgantown campus Friday (June 21) at 2 p.m. for the unveiling of this year’s interactive sculpture. The event will take place on the second floor of the library and cupcakes, snacks and beverages will be provided.
