The Morgantown Police Department will close the following downtown streets to vehicle traffic Saturday (June 22) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the West Virginia Birthday Party:
High Street from Walnut Street to Pleasant Street
Left lane of High Street from Wall Street to Walnut Street
Chancery Row and Court Street
Parking will be restricted on the left side of High Street from Wall Street to Walnut Street. While downtown street parking will have some restrictions, ample parking will be available in the two downtown parking garages.
The West Virginia Birthday Party event takes place from 1-6 p.m. Saturday on High Street. Street closures and parking restrictions will allow vendors and performers time to prepare for the event.
