Female tennis player  

The women's tennis team will compete in its lone home tournament of the fall, as it hosts the Martha Thorn Invitational today through Sunday (Oct. 20-22) in Morgantown. James Madison, Miami (Ohio) and the Mountaineers will compete in singles and doubles matches over the course of the three-day tournament. All matches will take place at the WVU tennis courts, located behind the WVU Coliseum.

Football team running onto field  

Kerry Gibson, wife of West Virginia Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator Tony Gibson, is leading a group of Mountaineer football coaches' wives in a fundraising effort to raise money for victims of recent natural disasters.

Women's soccer player in action  

The No. 6-ranked women's soccer team kicks against Texas Tech today (Oct. 19) at 5 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The match will be nationally televised on ESPNU. Links for a video stream and live stats are available at WVUsports.com. The first 200 fans through the gate Thursday evening will receive a free WVU women's soccer long sleeve shirt.

Men's soccer team greeting fans  

The men's soccer team's senior night match against Akron on Oct. 27 has been moved up to 6 p.m. ET. The match, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will begin one hour earlier to allow fans to attend both the regular-season home finale at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and the men's basketball team's Gold-Blue Debut at 7:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.

Milan Puskar Stadium  

The Big 12 Conference has announced that WVU's Saturday, Oct. 28, Big 12 Conference football game against Oklahoma State at Milan Puskar Stadium, will kick at noon with the television designation to be determined next weekend.

WVU golf  

After leading the Mountaineers to a second-place finish at The Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational, sophomore Etienne Papineau of the WVU golf team has been named the West Virginia Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
