The Division of Talent and Culture invites faculty and staff to attend a Social Security session and a TIAA session Nov. 8 at the Erickson Alumni Center.
Tara Westover, the best-selling author of “Educated: A Memoir,” is expected to draw a large audience when she comes to campus Nov. 11 as part of the Hardesty Festival of Ideas. She will speak at 7:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
The Mindfulness Program at the WVU Health Sciences Center offers several opportunities to enhance relaxation, well-being and resilience—all free of charge. Through Dec. 12, the HSC Wellness Studio (G-278 Health Sciences South) will host 20-minute mindfulness meditation sessions three days per week, led by a trio of mindfulness instructors. Participants with all levels of experience are invited to take time to learn and experience the numerous health benefits of regular meditation. Classes are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:15 a.m.–11:35 a.m. and Wednesdays from 1:15 –1:35 p.m.
