The WVU Retiree Association will join the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive June 16 from 11:30 a.m to 5 p.m. in the Nutting Gallery of the WVU Erickson Alumni Center.

West Virginia University will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic today (June 2) from 4 to 7 p.m. in the upper gym of the Student Recreation Center. WVU faculty, staff and students as well as members of the community who are interested in receiving a Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer or Moderna vaccine may walk in to the clinic during operating hours.

The Office of Sustainability is coordinating a summertime book recycling collection during the week of June 21. The deadline to request a pickup is Wednesday, June 16.

The Educators Designing Great Experiences Teaching Institute will run from June 21 to July 2 and will guide participants through the iterative process of creating and improving upon quality course design. Highlights include a focus on curating content, engaging students and delivering hands-on learning experiences for both in-person and virtual teaching modes.

“Cultural Conversations: Celebrating the Social Significance of Ethnicity” is the theme of WVU’s Diversity Week 2021, scheduled for Oct. 10-16. The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is putting out a call for proposals from within the WVU community, inviting individuals, colleges, schools, units and organizations to propose events or activities that address this year’s theme.
