The University community is invited to celebrate the WVU Extension retirements of Cindy Fitch, associate dean, Greg Jacobs, multimedia specialist, and Robin Rupenthal, senior office administrator, from 3-5 p.m. today (June 21) at the Ascend West Virginia office, 1279 Beechurst Ave.

Mascot Blood Drive June 24  

The Mountaineer Mascot Program will hold a blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday (June 24) at the Erickson Alumni Center, Nutting Gallery.

Living the Folklife Postcard  

Attendees will be treated to birthday cake and folk music performed by professor Chris Haddox, a program on West Virginia folklore and the opening of a new exhibit at 2 p.m. today (June 20) in the Downtown Library, Milano Reading Room.

Stewart Hall Spring 2024  

The meeting will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday (June 26) in Stewart Hall, the President's Conference Room and on Zoom.

WVU Employees at Computer  

Savi will host a webinar to review the major changes coming to student loan repayment plans in July that could help borrowers lower their monthly payments. The webinar will be held at noon on Wednesday (June 26).

Energy Express Promoting Literacy  

Energy Express — underway this week — is a free six-week summer reading and nutrition program for children in first through sixth grades. Since its inception at two pilot sites in 1994, Energy Express has grown and changed shape many times, but it has always remained clear on its mission: to help children in disadvantaged West Virginia communities maintain and improve their literacy.
