Doug Wood, historian of connections between humans and environment, will present on the landscape and economy of the Monongahela River region at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries at 6 p.m. today (June 25) at the WVU Core Arboretum Amphitheater.
Savi will host a webinar to review the major changes coming to student loan repayment plans in July that could help borrowers lower their monthly payments. The webinar will be held at noon tomorrow (June 26).
Faculty and staff will explore how their top five strengths can help them be successful leaders and/or how they might get in the way from noon to 1 p.m. July 2 on Zoom.
Participants are invited to register for the annual West Virginia Writers’ Workshop, which is designed to give writers at any stage of their careers the opportunity to improve their craft in a warm, supportive atmosphere. Registration will close July 5. The workshop, now in its 27th year, will be held on the WVU Downtown Campus and via Zoom from July 18 to July 21.
Gov. Jim Justice visited the Morgantown Campus today (June 24) to recognize Duncan Lorimer, a 2024 Fellow of the Royal Society, and Maura McLauglin, a new member of the National Academy of Sciences, for their accomplishments.
