The School of Nursing: Potomac State College recently formed the Student Nurses’ Association on the Keyser campus. The Student Nurses’ Association, more commonly known as SNA, is a student organization designed to bring together and mentor nursing students in order to prepare them for the profession of nursing by promoting the development of skills needed to be responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession; and to develop nursing students who are prepared to provide service to their community, state and abroad.

A December graduate of West Virginia University’s safety management program has been awarded a scholarship from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. The BCSP is recognized as the leader in high-quality credentialing for safety, health and environmental practitioners in order to enhance the safety of people, property and the environment.
West Virginia University Potomac State College’s Team of Criminal Justice students once again competed in the West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators’ Association’s Annual Conference this fall at Salem University in Salem, W.Va.

The WVU School of Nursing: Potomac State College campus nursing program has partnered with the WV Attorney General’s Office to participate in their Opioid Prevention Program, which is designed to teach 8th graders about the dangers of opioids.
