After helping the Mountaineer wrestling team win two-of-three matches on the road on Jan. 25 and 27, West Virginia University redshirt freshman Noah Adams has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.

Tom Hansell of Appalachian State University will discuss After Coal: Stories of Survival in Appalachia and Wales at the College of Law Jan. 28 from 4-5:30 p.m. Hansell will be joined by panelists Caity Coyne (Charleston Gazette-Mail) and Nicholas Stump (WVU College of Law). Ashton Marra (Reed College, WVPB, 100 Days in Appalachia) will moderate this discussion.

David O’Sullivan, the ambassador of the European Union to the United States, will speak Thursday (Jan. 31) at 4 p.m. in the Milano Reading Room of the Downtown Campus Library. His lecture, titled “Europe and the United States: A Relationship under Strain in a World of Crises,” is hosted by the Department of Political Science and the International Studies Program. The talk is free and open to the public.
