Meeting of the Minds event to discuss foster care crisis in West Virginia

 WVCTSI, the Mountaineer Health Initiative, and the WVU Council of Women’s Concerns will host a panel discussion on foster care in West Virginia in Salon A&B of the Erickson Alumni Center from 4-6 p.m. Feb. 7. Jenifer Gamble, field education director and clinical assistant professor with the School of Social Work, will moderate a multidisciplinary panel of experts.

Panelists include:

-Chris Plein, professor of Public Administration and Eberly Professor of Outstanding Public Service, WVU Department of Public Administration

-Corey Colyer, associate professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology

-Karen Harper-Dorton, professor, School of Social Work; Principal Investigator, Title IV-E Child Welfare Project

-Samantha Burwell, Foster Parent
