Just across the Monongahela River from Morgantown, West Virginia sits a small greenhouse with a picturesque view of Woodburn Hall. During the winter months, you might notice its soft pinkish purple glow, but if you weren’t looking for it, you’d probably never notice the unassuming structure. The real surprise though is not that the greenhouse simply exists, but rather that it houses an innovative horticulture operation called Micro Genesis.

As the son of teachers, getting a quality education was a primary focus of Marc Williams’s life. A degree from WVU Law helped prepare Williams for a successful legal career, and scholarships helped him fund his education. Now, the 1985 graduate has pledged $50,000 to help WVU Law students offset the cost of their legal education.

Electra Paskett will join the WVU School of Public Health’s 2018-2019 Dean’s Colloquium Series on Friday (Feb. 1). Her lecture, “A Multi-Level Model to Address Cervical Cancer Disparities in Appalachia,” will be held in 1175 Health Sciences Center-North (Okey Patteson Auditorium) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm.
