Research work at WVU titled “Capsule Integrated Polypeptide Films Deliver Various Drugs On-Demand” has been accepted as a podium presentation to be presented at the 2019 Orthopaedic Research Society Annual Meeting; fewer than five percent of abstracts are accepted for podium presentations at ORS meetings.

Sophomore middle blocker Katie DeMeo of the West Virginia University volleyball team was named to the 2018 Academic All-District 2 Volleyball Team today, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Center for Excellence in STEM Education, along with the Center for Gravitational Waves and Cosmology and WVU Extension Service are hosting a public Hour of Code event Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in White Hall.

WVU will host the 33rd Annual Family Holiday Celebration Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.- noon. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. Children of the University’s regular full-time and part-time employees, as well as children of graduate assistants are invited to join in various crafts, games, a holiday story follow along video and a chance to visit with Santa.

Carnegie Foundation - Elective, Community Engagement and Classification  

We received the classification in 2010 and are in the process of reapplying this spring. Our designation allows us to intentionally recruit community engaged faculty, staff and students to continue to enhance our WVU values. This recognition provides more visibility to the community engaged scholarship happening at WVU and highlights our commitment to practice the work we are guided to do through our mission and dedication to our state.
