WVU Army & Air Force ROTC Cadets will lower the U.S. and West Virginia state flags, “retiring the colors,” for the final time in front of Stansbury Hall during a brief and reserved ceremony Friday (March 8) at 1 p.m. Cadets will be in place at 12:45 p.m. for pictures.
Burkey and Marylou Lilly were proud graduates of WVU. Through an estate gift to the WVU Foundation, the couple established the Burkey and Marylou Lilly Scholarship. The first $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to a WVU student for the 2019-20 academic year.
The Center for Service and Learning is accepting nominations for the 2019 Excellence in Community Engagement Awards, nominations must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Friday (March 8). Awards highlight the best of WVU's community engagement. This year awards will recognize undergraduate students, graduate students, student groups, faculty and staff. There is also an award for excellence in service-learning instruction, outstanding Community Partner as well as a new Excellence in Social Action award.
