WVCTSI’s Clinical and Translational Research Seminar Series will host a session focusing on successful strategies for community-based research March 15. Sally Hurst, director of outreach programs, and Drema Mace, executive director, both with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Center for Rural and Community Health, will present, “Best Strategies and Models for Community-Based Participatory Research.”

With more than 1,000 tickets presold for the 2019 NCAA Rifle Championships, excitement continues to grow for this special event at the WVU Coliseum today through Saturday (March 8-9). Doors will open to the WVU Coliseum on both days at 8:30 a.m. Fans with a ticket are permitted to leave and re-enter the arena each day.

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Researchers at the West Virginia University Cancer Institute are evaluating a first-of-its-kind blood test for detecting colorectal cancer. In the latest edition of Inside WVU today, Dr. Richard Goldberg, director of the WVU Cancer Institute, talks with host April Kaull about the test and highlights to advances in detection and treatment available for patients.
