As part of our continuing efforts to prioritize funding for investment in our most strategic initiatives, West Virginia University is launching a Voluntary Separation Incentive Plan program for eligible faculty and staff. Through the program, the University may offer a lump-sum incentive payment to eligible faculty and staff, who in return would agree to separate from employment with WVU either by resignation or retirement. The University will hold Campus Conversations Thursday and Friday to discuss the VSIP program in more detail.
The Student Recreation Center will offer 2019 summer memberships from May 13 - August 12. This membership is available for students not enrolled in summer classes (enrolled students have membership with tuition), faculty, staff and University affiliates and their dependents.
Information Technology Services reminds you to be aware of malicious emails urgently asking you to purchase gift cards using personal or University funds. These emails may appear to come from someone you know or someone who works at WVU, but they are really from would-be thieves.
April is national Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and in recognition, West Virginia University’s Student Government Association and University Police Department are partnering to host information tables for students, faculty and staff on pedestrian and driver safety from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Tuesday (April 23) and Wednesday (April 24) in the Mountainlair across from the first-floor information center.
2L Julie Merow has been elected to an executive position in the American Bar Association Law Student Division. She is the first WVU Law student to serve in a national-level role for the organization.
