Join Leadership Studies and the Women's Resource Center tomorrow (April 23) at 4 p.m. in the Gluck Theater, Mountainlair, for "An Evening With Peppermint — Everyone's Favorite Flavor."
Peppermint will give a public lecture about the challenges faced by transgender and non-binary people in today’s political climate, as well as her personal experiences as a drag performer who identifies as trans.
Peppermint’s star has continued to rise since her smashing success as first runner-up on Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She recently became the first trans woman to originate a principal role on Broadway when she was cast as Pythio in the groundbreaking Broadway musical Head Over Heels. Peppermint has helped raise more than $100,000 for the Human Rights Campaign (including a large bid from Vanessa Williams). She is deeply involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS and participant in the M.A.C. Aids Fund and the HIV Vaccine trials network.
