Thanks to a partnership between the School of Nursing and the University of Nicosia, spring 2024 incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to study abroad for an entire semester in Cyprus.

The textbook “Middle Range Theory for Nursing” received first place in the category of nursing research by the American Journal of Nursing, as part of its most valuable texts of the year for 2023. The textbook was edited and five chapters of the book were written by faculty from the School of Nursing.
Inspired by friends who battled cancer, lifelong University supporter Don Hoylman and his wife, Marcella, first began giving to the WVU Cancer Institute in the 1980s. Their giving escalated after Hoylman became a patient himself and culminated with a transformational leadership donation made through his trust in 2018.
Since its development in 2020, the WVU Health Affairs Institute Mountain State Assessment of Trends in Community Health survey team has sought to understand the health and well-being challenges facing West Virginians. The goal of the survey is to help the West Virginia Department of Human Services learn about and respond to the critical health needs of all 55 counties.
A planned gift from alumna Dr. Dianne G. Muchant will enhance education for future physicians and strengthen renal care for Mountain State children.
The campus community is invited to attend “Mental Health Awareness Through the Lens of Multiple Lived Experiences” from 1-2 p.m.Tuesday (April 16) in the Health Sciences Center, Room 2940B. This event is presented by the WVU Health Sciences DEI Cross-Cutting Committee.
