Blue Zone  

This spring, a three-credit online course exploring the lifestyles of the Blue Zones, areas around the world where people live exceptionally long and healthy lives. This course is offered to aspiring healthcare professionals, including future doctors, dentists, public health practitioners, psychologists, dietitians and more.

About half of all people with cystic fibrosis, the most common genetic disorder in the United States, die from a lung disease before they turn 40. A form of pneumonia called Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a likely culprit. WVU School of Medicine researcher Mariette Barbier is pursuing new ways to vaccinate at-risk populations against this deadly illness.

The Traumatic Brain Injury program at the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities is accepting proposals for presenters at the third annual TBI Conference on March 6-8. The conference will be held at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels.
