Joseph Jones, visiting assistant professor in the Reed College of Media, will serve as the next speaker for Faculty Talks from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday (March 9) on Zoom. His presentation is titled “How the Black Press Counters Hegemony, Redeems Democracy and Cultivates Care.”

The TEDxWVU “Dig Deeper” event, featuring five dynamic speakers, will be held at 2 p.m. on April 16 at the Canady Creative Arts Center Gladys Davis Theatre. This year’s theme looks to the future with the goal of sharing ideas and conversations that can bring everyone together.
This training provides details on the protections offered by Title IX and addresses how to handle disclosures of abuse, harassment and discrimination. Scenarios will be used to help participants brainstorm ways to address potential Title IX violations.
