When Brittany and Chris Nix had their son, Oliver, they didn’t expect him to be born with a disease that would prevent him from being able to walk, eat or breathe. Thanks to a routine test and life-saving treatment given at WVU Medicine Children’s, he has a better chance to live a normal life.

On average, the West Virginia Poison Center receives 20,000 calls per year. In comparison, the West Virginia Coronavirus Hotline doubled that number in roughly eight and a half months in 2020.

Ten members of the WVU cross country team were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Women's Cross Country First Team. Three Mountaineers earned spots on the team with a 4.0 grade point average.
