WVU Libraries will debut its exhibit “Undefeated: Canvas(s)ing the Politics of Voter Suppression Since Women’s Suffrage” as an online exhibition in August, followed by a print installation in spring of 2021 at the Downtown Campus Library.

Renee Nicholson, an expert in narrative medicine, has been named the new director of the WVU Humanities Center. She replaces Rhonda Reymond, who has served as interim director since August 2019 and who will return to her role as associate director of the Humanities Center. Nicholson assumes this administrative assignment on July 1 and will maintain her coordinator position in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.
Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2021 ends on Friday (May 15). Open Enrollment is the only opportunity WVU benefits-eligible faculty and staff have to make changes to their elected insurance benefits for the 2021 plan year without a qualifying life event. All changes for Plan Year 2021 will be effective July 1.
Julia Merwin is set to graduate this May from West Virginia University with a major in Sport and Exercise Psychology. While at WVU, Merwin was a student-athlete and member of the women’s gymnastics team. Additionally, she became a certified personal trainer because of her interest in health and fitness.
Excited to see how the concepts she learned in class are being applied in the real world, School of Public Health student Rachel Baker recently attended the American Public Health Association Policy Action Institute.
