On Saturday (Aug. 28) and Sunday (Aug. 29) parking lot ST-10 near the Business and Economics building on the Downtown area of campus will be closed for seal coating and painting.

As part of ongoing campus enhancement efforts, WVU recently has been repaving the WVU Coliseum parking lots and installing new lights in parking areas at the facility. The last phase of paving activities is scheduled to occur beginning Monday, Aug. 30, and continuing through Friday, Sept. 3. Parking Lot 2 and a portion of Lot 1B will be closed during this timeframe.

In 2020, WVU researchers would prop open a manhole cover, dip down a bottle to collect wastewater and then take it to a lab to analyze for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 (infected people shed virus particles through their feces). With the new academic year, researchers have resumed on-campus sampling. It’s part of a $2.9 million statewide project geared at developing a testing network throughout West Virginia and identifying communities of concern for COVID-19.
This fall, WVU Libraries will host the Intellectual Property Workshop Series, which will include an introduction to intellectual property, cover copyright, trademarks and patents. Intellectual Property is important to academics, innovators, and businesses because IP is developed by these people.
