P.V. Vijay, associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at WVU, has been named an American Society of Civil Engineers Fellow. Vijay was selected for his commitment to the field of civil engineering, mentoring capabilities and his contributions to solving future engineering challenges with emerging technologies in an economical and sustainable way.
The WVU School of Nursing is hosting this event Sept. 23 for high school seniors who want to obtain a bachelor of science in nursing. The school’s recruitment team and faculty will be on hand to explain the program and the process for applying to the school.
This fall, WVU researchers will drill three miles into the ground to test the potential of geothermal energy. If successful, it might eventually help to reduce the carbon footprint of the University and decrease energy costs.
