The Office of Global Affairs will host its annual Education Abroad Fair Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. This event is an exciting and engaging way for students to explore the opportunities that studying abroad has to offer.

WVU will host Discover WVU Days Saturday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Nov. 13. Faculty and staff are invited to welcome hundreds of high school seniors and juniors, transfer students and their families to the Morgantown Campus as they participate in events across campus from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The influx of students to residence halls in August brings a buzz to WVU’s campus, but it also inevitably brings an influx of waste from students setting up their temporary homes in residence halls. This year, WVU recycled almost 28,000 pounds of cardboard over the three-day move-in period—enough to fill eight PRT cars.

After more than 14 years, Nathaniel Barnett, a client of the West Virginia Innocence Project Law Clinic at the West Virginia University College of Law, has walked away from the Cabell County Courthouse in Huntington, a completely free man. On Oct. 5, the state dismissed murder charges against him because DNA testing identified the actual perpetrator.
