School of Art & Design Faculty, students and alumni are teaming up for “Trifecta: WVU Ceramics, Printmaking and Sculpture Showcase,” at Love Hope Center for the Arts in Fayetteville April 16 - June 4.

Today and tomorrow (April 8-9), the WVU community is invited to attend the grand opening event for the Davis College Store. The store, located in the Evansdale Greenhouse, will be open until 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. During the grand opening, the store will have products for sale made by students through classes, clubs and organizations.
The WVU Higher Education in Prison Initiative has been awarded three years of grant funding from the Laughing Gull Foundation. This funding will support credit-bearing classes in a maximum-security Pennsylvania state prison. The $65,000 in funds, per year, for the three-year term of the grant, will be used for instructional costs, graduate assistantships, teacher training, supplies and tuition.
WVU School of Theatre and Dance presents “Sweet Charity” April 7-10 in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at Canady Creative Arts Center. “Sweet Charity” is a tender, poignant and humorous look at the adventures of Charity Hope Valentine.
The Eberly Writing Studio is set to host two virtual workshops focused on research strategies to support graduate and advanced undergraduate students April 15 and 18.
Phil Douthitt will assume the role of dean of Academic Affairs at WVU Potomac State College in Keyser starting July 1, as current dean Gregory Ochoa resigns effective June 30. Douthitt currently serves as associate dean of Academic Affairs at the Keyser campus, a position he has held since July 2014.
