Rafael Joseph’s decision to attend WVU was based on the in-class education and the level of care and support from faculty. The guidance he received helped lead Joseph to land one of 30 spots as a National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellow for Mental Health Counselors for 2022-23.

John Denver's Country Roads could be heard at the Anne Arundel Community College softball field Saturday afternoon signaling another Potomac State College softball win. The sweet sounds were also signaling the country roads of West Virginia were now leading to the country roads of Oxford, Alabama., site of the 2022 NJCAA Division II Softball Championship Tournament.
WVU Tech is celebrating its first two graduates of the hospitality (culinary) program from the Beckley campus. The program is a two-year associate degree offered through WVU Potomac State College on the Tech campus in Beckley.
Pedro Mago, Glen H. Hiner, Dean of the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, has announced the recipients of the College’s Thriving Women Program grants, intended to empower female faculty and staff to advance in their professional careers through individual or community transformation. The program, designed by Cerasela Zoica Dinu, associate dean for student, faculty, and staff engagement and chairperson of the Statler College Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and Mago, was funded by dedicated alumna Dianne Anderson.
The Art Museum of WVU has selected participants for its inaugural Art Museum Faculty Fellowship and Jacknowitz Summer Internship for Summer 2022. Both of these positions are central to the Art Museum of WVU’s efforts in engaging both students and faculty in object-centered learning and professional development.
A new internship program, hosted by WVU Sports Medicine, continues a long history of collaboration between CPASS and WVU Athletics. Students from the Health and Well-Being Program will serve as sports medicine student managers who observe the ‘day in the life’ of master’s level students.
