Mikylah Myers, assistant dean of student artistic achievement in WVU’s College of Creative Arts, recently performed as soloist in the East Coast premiere of “Intonations: Songs from the Violins of Hope.” Charlotte PBS series "Carolina Impact" is showcasing the story of Violins of Hope, featuring Myers’ interview and performance.

The College of Creative Arts has selected its 2022 faculty awards. Each year, the college awards for Excellence in Research and Creative Activity, Outstanding Teacher, Outstanding Service and Adjunct Faculty Excellence.
Conner Rush,a junior from Fairmont who is known for his previous video game development work, was chosen to create a new game for Dread XP’s anthology series, “Dread X Collection 5.”
Yamile Gonzalez, from Guadalajara, Mexico, made history as she became the first graduate student to successfully complete a sport management master’s thesis at WVU. Gonzalez’s master thesis “Gender Imbalance in Sport Leadership in Latin America” examines gender disparity at the leadership level within sport organizations across Latin America.
A ceremony to celebrate the life of Professor Dennis Allen will be held June 16 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in E. Moore Hall. An award-winning and beloved teacher and mentor in the Department of English for more than 30 years, Allen died Oct. 31, 2021
