The WVU College of Creative Arts purchased 11 new Steinway pianos recently thanks to a generous planned gift by Rich and Deborah Harrison. The Harrison’s planned gift supports the College’s All-Steinway Campaign.

The College of Media awarded Joel Beeson, Dana Coester and Mary Kay McFarland with this year’s faculty awards. Beeson and Coester are co-recipients of the Faculty Research Award, which recognizes outstanding scholarly work or creative activity. McFarland received the Outstanding Teaching Award, which recognizes innovative and excellent classroom teaching.
The WVU College of Creative Arts will again host the annual outdoor Independence Day Concert by the Morgantown Municipal Band Monday, July 4, at 11 a.m. in front of the Canady Creative Arts Center.
Max Russell (BSJ, 2023) and Tristan Haley (BSJ, 2022) are gaining hands-on experience in advertising and public relations through competitive summer internship programs. Russell is one of just 11 students in the nation to be selected as a 2022 Stickell Honors Intern and Haley is one of 40 finalists participating in the International Radio & Television Society Summer Fellowship Program.
