As part of our continuing efforts to recognize, reward and retain top talent, West Virginia University is formally kicking off its 2022 Compensation Program this week. Through the program, WVU seeks to provide merit-based increases to faculty and staff who have strong performance in areas that support the University’s mission and operations and have a compensation ratio (compa-ratio) that needs enhanced to be in a market-competitive position.
The WVU Humanities Center has announced the 2022-23 grant recipients who will support interdisciplinary, collaborative and public-facing projects in history, culture and the arts across multiple disciplines. Funded by a WVU endowment from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, grants were awarded to faculty members engaged in humanistic inquiry through three categories: Humanities Center Fellowship Grants, Pedagogy and Innovation Grants or Research Travel Grants.
