WVU Jackson’s Mill invites people of all ages to participate in blacksmithing, heritage-themed youth activities, gristmill demonstrations in the historic Blaker Mill and more from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 19-20.

The Youth and Parent Pride Network will host its inaugural event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Wiles Hill Community Center in Morgantown. The free event will focus on supporting LGBTQ+ youth ages 11 to 14 and/or their parents.
The celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today (Oct. 10) in front of the Mountainlair as the Mountaineers get ready to take on Iowa State in the Coal Rush game on Saturday (Oct. 12) at Milan Puskar Stadium.
The University community is encouraged to celebrate the achievements of faculty colleagues and the WVU Press from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Downtown Library, Milano Reading Room. Doors will open at 4 p.m. and remarks will begin at 4:30 p.m.
First-Generation Initiatives invites the WVU community to help celebrate First-Generation College Week slated for Nov. 4-8. Colleges, departments and units are encouraged to spotlight their first-gen faculty, staff and students on websites and social media and/or host an event for first-generation individuals and their allies to gather.
American Red Cross volunteers, fire departments and other volunteers will install smoke alarms throughout Monongalia County from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3.
