Thanks to dozens of faculty, staff and student volunteers from WVU who attended the 2023 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, thousands of Scouts learned more about STEM this summer.

The University community is invited to virtually join Monday Night Lights via livestream beginning at 8 p.m. Monday (Aug. 14). Freshmen will converge on Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium for this popular Welcome Week tradition, officially welcoming the Class of 2027 to Morgantown.

The Provost’s Office distributed the preliminary recommendations, including the number of faculty positions that should be retained in each department, on Thursday (Aug. 10) to deans and chairs following the program portfolio review process. All affected faculty should be notified no later than 2 p.m. today (Aug. 11). This is part of the University’s focus on Academic Transformation to better position WVU to meet the needs of our students, our communities and our industries.
