The Business and Communications Career and Internship Fair will be held on Tuesday (Oct. 3). The Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair is scheduled for Wednesday (Oct. 4). Faculty and staff are also invited to explore the opportunities available to students and enjoy the networking experience for yourself and your department.
Students can take a class or two and earn up to five credits in just three weeks during Winter Intersession, which offers more than 30 online courses from Dec. 18 through Jan. 4.
As part of West Virginia University’s transformation to become a land-grant university of the future, University Relations and Enrollment Management is assessing all aspects of their organizations to ensure they are maximizing operational efficiencies, measuring successes using metrics that matter and aligning operations to support the WVU First Principles.
The active workspaces, a student-led initiative designed to stimulate studying while increasing opportunities for movement, are located at the Downtown, Evansdale and Health Sciences libraries. The workspaces include standing desks, yoga balls, spin bikes, under-desk ellipticals and yoga mats. Library visitors, including faculty and staff, can use the equipment to either take a movement break or move while reading or studying.
The show includes prints from the Base Camp Printing Company, founded by WVU alumni Emily Sokolosky and Betsy Sokolosky. All work is made with hand-set type and carved linoleum, then hand printed on old-fashioned printing presses.
