Staff, faculty and students are invited to attend a Campus Conversation today (June 27) designed to provide an update on the University’s overarching transformation initiatives, including those to address academics and the structural budget deficit.

Hills and Hollers  

“Hills and Hollers: The Challenges and Kinship of Academic Life off the Tenure Track,” the University’s first virtual conference focused specifically on the experiences of non-tenure track faculty, kicks off at noon Thursday (June 29) with a keynote presentation that is free for the WVU community.

Beginning July 1, the state will reject confirming orders and require an individualized memo explaining why the confirming order occurred and what methods are being used to avoid future confirming orders. A confirming order occurs when an employee works directly with a supplier to have a good or service delivered without first submitting a requisition in Mountaineer Marketplace and having a purchase order issued.

Friday’s (June 30) paycheck will be a third paycheck in the month of June for WVU employees. For the deduction holiday pay, there will be no benefit deductions withheld, only mandatory taxes and retirement deductions.

WVU families can enjoy Summer Learning Bundles with K-5 grade-specific activities for their children. This year’s bundles highlight lesson plans and activities designed by students in elementary education, music education and art education.
