Women's Gymnastics  

Sixteen volunteers, a young coach with Midwest ties and a budget of less than $5,000 is how women's gymnastics began at West Virginia University in 1974. Fifty years later, the sport is stronger than ever.

 JJ Wetherholt  

Baseball junior infielder JJ Wetherholt has been named a preseason First-Team All-American by Perfect Game. The reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, he led the nation with a .449 batting average a season ago while also pacing the Mountaineers with 16 home runs, 60 RBI, 67 runs, 24 doubles and 36 stolen bases.

WVU women's basketball player  

Tipoff against the Longhorns is set for 2 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 6) at the Coliseum. The contest will serve as the "True Blue Game” and “Scouts Day.” All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear blue and local boy scout troops are invited to the game. All participating scouts will receive a 2023-24 scout day badge.

Faculty Senate  

The Faculty Senate will meet at 3:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 8) in the College of Law Fitzsimmons Event Hall.
