Patty Weston-Anderson, assistant accountant in the business office in the College of Applied Human Sciences, has announced her retirement effective today (Feb. 2).

Each year, the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences honors faculty members with its Outstanding Teacher Awards, Outstanding Researcher Awards and the Award for Outstanding Outreach or Public Service. The eight recipients will receive a stipend to help further their efforts.
Hosted by the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, the screening will be followed by a panel discussion with alumna and filmmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in Ming Hsieh Hall, G20.
Michele Goodwin, the Linda D. and Timothy J. O'Neill Professor of Constitutional Law and Global Health Policy at Georgetown University Law Center, will present “Recalling the Reconstruction: Originalism and the Blindspot of Legal History.”
The 2024 Golden Bear Athletic Hall of Fame inductees — Davon Francis DeVeaux, Gary M. Smith and Benjamin Wood — will be recognized during Homecoming festivities slated for Feb. 9-10.
Mannon Gallegly, a plant pathology professor emeritus who has spent more than 70 years developing hearty tomato varieties for home gardeners, has created his fourth and final tomato — the West Virginia ’23, dubbed “Mannon’s Majesty.”
