STEM high school students  

The Health Sciences and Technology grant for more than $70,000 will help fund a Summer Institute at WVU Tech where high school sophomores and teachers from across the state will work alongside faculty to explore STEM and health sciences opportunities.

Paul Kreider  

West Virginia University Vice Provost Paul Kreider, a seasoned administrator and innovative academic leader, has been named interim campus president of WVU Potomac State College, effective March 16. The appointment follows Keyser Campus President Chris Gilmer’s resignation. Gilmer will serve as campus president through March 15.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Horse Show  

The Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design equine studies program presented a $1,000 check to the Rosenbaum Family House after raising funds at its Ugly Christmas Sweater Horse Show.

Gage Smith  

Gage Smith, a first-generation college student who overcame poverty and abuse to earn his bachelor’s degree in psychology, is currently pursuing his master’s degree in counseling.

Math Games Night  

Erin Goodykoontz, Cody Hood and Vicki Sealey from the School of Mathematical and Data Sciences recently traveled to Doddridge County Middle School to host the inaugural event geared towards enhancing math skills in a fun and interactive way.
