West Virginia University tested the WVU Alert system for the Morgantown campus at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 18).

Faculty, staff, students and other members of the University community who did not receive an email or text message during the test are asked to visit alert.wvu.edu to add or update contact information.

Students are automatically enrolled in the WVU Alert system. Faculty and staff must manually register their email addresses or cell phone numbers to receive WVU Alerts.

The test also included push notifications to mobile devices for people who have downloaded the LiveSafe app and allowed notifications.
