The American Lung Association invites students, faculty and staff to join them for the Lung Force Luncheon March 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa. The School of Public Health is a sponsor of the event.

Several members of the WVU women’s basketball team made a surprise visit to the WVU Cancer Institute in Morgantown this past week. It was an opportunity for them to talk with patients in the infusion center and present each with a silk rose.

After leading WVU to the Martin Downs Collegiate title, freshman Matthew Sharpstene of the golf team has been named the West Virginia University Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.

 

The WVU ADVANCE Center’s signature initiatives program, Advocates and Allies, and the WVU Humanities Center will host a panel discussion on the role of faculty members in preventing sexual harassment on campus. The event, “How not to be a bystander: The role of male faculty after #MeToo,” will be held on toda (Feb. 19) from 4 p.m. to-5:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Rhododendron Room.

 

Students in the WVU College of Creative Arts perform more than 300 events per year in many venues across campus, Morgantown and the state. Many of the events are free to the public and family friendly. The following is a list of this week’s events.
