The Staff Council meeting will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (May 15) in the Mountainlair, Rhododendron Room and on Zoom.

WVU Police Officer Cody Smith  

As part of a commitment to foster a safe environment for the campus community, the WVU Police Department will hold on-campus training exercises on select days this month in the area of Arnold Hall and Apartments.

Demo Day  

The hands-on science event, designed for all ages, will offer a wide variety of physics and astronomy demonstrations and a liquid nitrogen ice cream making station from noon to 2 p.m Saturday (May 11) in White Hall.

Occupational Therapy Students  

A pinning ceremony was held for 37 master’s and doctoral program students, marking a distinct transition from classroom instruction to hands-on clinical learning where students apply the foundational knowledge they received and work in real scenarios with patients in need of their services.

Rural Road  

A National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Stipend will support Erin Brock Carlson, assistant professor of English, in completing her book “Hauled Away: How Rural Appalachians Leverage Place in the Face of Extraction,” which draws on community-based research projects conducted by Carlson in Appalachia since 2018.
