Community Health Expo  

Complementary health services and health and wellness-related information will be available from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 28, outside the Student Recreation Center. The two-mile Community Health Walk will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the run will begin at 3:30 p.m.

University neuroscientists are looking into why people with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease can remember events from decades ago but cannot recall something that happened in the past few hours. Their ongoing study indicates the issue could have to do with the vulnerability of certain synaptic connections, the places where neurons meet to communicate.

Baseball  

In front of a record crowd, the baseball team defeated Pitt, 6-3, Tuesday (April 16) at Kendrick Family Ballpark. Up next, the Mountaineers will travel this weekend to take on Texas Tech. First pitch is 7:30 p.m. Friday (April 19) from Lubbock, Texas.

Golf Team  

Sophomore Carson Kammann shot 10-under-par to lead the Mountaineers to a team championship with a tournament-record 18-under-par at the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport.
