The WVU LGBTQ+ Commission is currently accepting applications for members. The Commission is voluntary and is composed of faculty, staff, students and at least one individual from the broader community who meet once per month.

To better align research operations more closely with the University’s mission and infrastructure, West Virginia University, in collaboration with WVU Research Corporation, is transitioning WVURC employees to direct University employment, effective Oct. 31. This transition is designed to streamline administrative processes, reduce duplication between entities and improve access to institutional resources, systems and support while providing improved benefits to WVURC employees.
Issuing a call for collaboration focused on the future, University President Michael T. Benson gave his first official report during a special meeting for the University’s Board of Governors on Wednesday (July 23). In addition to welcoming Benson, BOG Chair Rusty Hutson introduced several new BOG members who are taking seats ahead of the Aug. 20 start of the academic year.
Updated resources include guidance on how to register for classes in both STAR and Schedule Builder, instructions for dropping or withdrawing from courses, and information on time ticketing, waitlisting, registration holds and common errors.
The Clark Hall passenger elevator will be out of service beginning today (July 23) to allow for maintenance and repairs. Faculty, staff and students can utilize the Chemistry Research Lab Building’s elevator to access upper floors of Clark Hall via the connecting pedestrian bridge.
The Downtown, Evansdale and Health Sciences libraries will be closed today (July 23) for a staff retreat. The Health Sciences Library is accessible with a WVU ID.
