New class registration resources available for students, advisers

Students in Classroom

A revised and refreshed Class Registration page in the IT Help Center has been developed to support students, advisers and staff involved in the registration process.

Updated resources include guidance on how to register for classes in both STAR and Schedule Builder, instructions for dropping or withdrawing from courses, and information on time ticketing, waitlisting, registration holds and common errors.

Staff and faculty who assist with registration are encouraged to bookmark this page, refer students to this resource and incorporate it into their communications and support materials rather than creating your own materials. This will ensure that students always have the most current and accurate information. The contents will be revised as needed to accommodate process changes and can be expanded if additional information is required.

This new resource reflects a shared commitment to improve the student experience and streamline registration support. It is the result of a collaboration between the Center for Learning, Advising and Student Success, the Office of the University Registrar, Information Technology Services, the Office of the Provost and advising representatives from various academic units.
