A national firm with more than 50 years of experience will partner with the West Virginia University Board of Governors in its search for a new University president. The BOG announced during a special meeting Wednesday (May 29) that it chose WittKieffer which has conducted more than 145 presidential and chancellor searches over the past five years.
Faculty and staff are invited to learn how to help students in distress by attending a virtual Mental Health 101 Training hosted by WELLWVU and the Carruth Center from 10-11:30 a.m June 13 or from noon to 1:30 p.m. July 16.
WVU is committed to attracting and retaining top talent by paying its faculty and staff a fair wage to remain competitive with current market rates. Effective June 30, WVU will adjust its entry pay rate for staff employees to $14 per hour. Updated wages will be reflected on an employee’s July 26 pay statement.
Per the BOG policy regarding the use of University facilities, an external user must provide proof of adequate insurance in order to use a WVU-owned indoor or outdoor space for a proposed event. External users who do not carry their own liability insurance can purchase an event-specific liability policy through the Tenant and User Liability Insurance Program at a low cost.
