Order Of Augusta 2025  

Eight remarkable members of the West Virginia University Class of 2025 who have distinguished themselves through academic excellence and by making significant contributions on campus, across the Mountain State and beyond have been honored with the Order of Augusta, the most prestigious University student award.

IMPACT WV Mother and Baby  

The Center for Excellence in Disabilities is announcing three new mini-grant opportunities to support innovative projects focused on individual and family experiences with substance use — particularly for families with children ages 0-5 — to drive meaningful change in our communities.

WVU Soils Team  

Seven members of the WVU Soils Team were among the 199 participants from 27 schools across the country who recently gathered for the National Collegiate Soils Contest in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The team again performed well in the contest finishing 8th overall, while JosiLee Scott claimed first place — beating out 105 participants in the individual judging portion of the contest.

2025 IDEMIA Biometrics Lab Ribbon Cutting  

Students at the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will have access to even greater learning opportunities thanks to the opening of the state-of-the-art IDEMIA National Security Solutions Biometrics Lab, a hub for research, teaching and innovation within the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

Effective today (May 6), the United States Government Policy for Oversight of Dual Use Research of Concern and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential will require institutions receiving federal funding to provide additional oversight and notification to federal funding agencies related to certain types of pathogen research.
