The January Science on Tap talk "Appalachian Storage Hub Study" is being given by Douglas Patchen, Director of the Resource Extraction Division of the WVU National Research Center for Coal and Energy. This talk is scheduled for Wednesday (Jan. 10) at 7 p.m. at Morgantown Brewing Company,1291 University Avenue, Morgantown. The event is free and open to the public.

The Research Office, in collaboration with the University Libraries, is pleased to announce the next WVU Software Carpentry Workshop. The two-day course will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27 and 28 in the Downtown Library, Lower Level room 104 and is aimed at graduate students, postdocs, staff and faculty.
The Community Music Program is now accepting membership for its WV Community Choir. The choir welcomes college students and adults in the Morgantown community. Rehearsals will begin Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
A traveling exhibit on loan from the Hampton History Museum explores the history and personalities of the women featured in Hidden Figures, this year’s Campus Read. The exhibit will be on display during January in the Downtown Campus Library Atrium and will move to the second floor of Evansdale Library from Feb. 1-28 and to the Erickson Alumni Center Nutting Gallery March 1-April 28.
HS Innovation Center and the WVU Women's Business Center are hosting the next Lunch and Learn Jan. 10 at noon at Evansdale Crossing-Maker Space (EVC 442).
