The January Science on Tap talk "Appalachian Storage Hub Study" is being given by Douglas Patchen, Director of the Resource Extraction Division of the WVU National Research Center for Coal and Energy. This talk is scheduled for Wednesday (Jan. 10) at 7 p.m. at Morgantown Brewing Company,1291 University Avenue, Morgantown. The event is free and open to the public.

 

The Research Office, in collaboration with the University Libraries, is pleased to announce the next WVU Software Carpentry Workshop. The two-day course will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27 and 28 in the Downtown Library, Lower Level room 104 and is aimed at graduate students, postdocs, staff and faculty.

A traveling exhibit on loan from the Hampton History Museum explores the history and personalities of the women featured in Hidden Figures, this year’s Campus Read. The exhibit will be on display during January in the Downtown Campus Library Atrium and will move to the second floor of Evansdale Library from Feb. 1-28 and to the Erickson Alumni Center Nutting Gallery March 1-April 28.

 

Health Sciences Innovation Center and the WVU Women’s Business Center will host the next Lunch and Learn session on Jan. 9 at noon in the WVCTSI conference room (room G150) in the WVU Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Building.
