April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Join the WVU Council for Women's Concerns for dinner, drinks and a silent auction to raise funds for the WV FRIS Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training program. This program trains nurses so they can provide crucial services to victims of sexual assault through compassionate and competent medical forensic patient care.
Libraries will present Talking Publicly with Maggie Anderson, a reading and discussion, on Wednesday (April 4) from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Downtown Campus Library’s Milano Reading Room. This free event, part of a celebration of National Poetry Month, is open to the public.
Help fund students in the WVU Upward Bound program with a stop at Panera Bread, 207 Willey St., today (April 2) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Show the flyer for 20 percent of your food purchase to be used to fund the cost of college courses for these high school students.
The Eight Pin, No-Tap Team Bowling Tournament will be held in the Mountainlair Games Area April 3-12. Students are encouraged to enter with a team at a cost of $25 per team.
