Welcome back the migrant songbirds as they return from their winter ranges Tuesday (May 8) and May 15 at 7:30 a.m. The bird walks are led by members of Mountaineer Audubon who will identify birds by sight and sound for participants and help everyone learn to appreciate the wonder of spring migration.

West Virginia’s poet laureate and the winner of the prestigious Drue Heinz Literature Prize will be instructors at this summer’s West Virginia Writers’ Workshop. The workshop, in its 22nd year, will be held on West Virginia University’s downtown campus from July 19 to July 22.
