The eight events of the series, which will take place at venues across Morgantown, will represent a wide variety of disciplines. This year, the WVU Humanities Center chose the theme “Quality of Life” to explore cultural objects and moments that lend themselves to richer understandings of our world and ways of living in it.

This training is required annually by the WV Department of Environmental Protection for any person (paid employee or not) who handles chemicals and/or unwanted material in a laboratory and may include, but is not limited to faculty, staff, post-doctoral fellows, interns, researchers, technicians, supervisors/managers and principal investigators who work unsupervised.
All graduate students and their families are invited to attend the Graduate Student Welcome Picnic held Friday (Aug. 17) from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Mountainlair Plaza (Rain location: Mountainlair Ballrooms) for food, giveaways and a fun time.
The Trademark Licensing Office invites all departments and student organizations to a Licensee Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 12:30-4 p.m.in the Mountainlair ballrooms. All the invited vendors are licensed to produce WVU branded products.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU will host a public presentation at 3 p.m. Thursday (Aug.16) at the Mountaineer Mall about the recent changes with the Mountain Line Transit Authority.
Join the Center for Black Culture & Research (590 Spruce Street) for its annual Belmear Welcome Back BBQ on Thursday (Aug. 16) from noon to 3 p.m. This event is free and open to all WVU faculty, staff and students.
