The West Virginia Business Hall of Fame, based in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, has chosen three accomplished leaders for its 2024 class. They are Dave Arnold, founder and senior vice president of public relations and strategic partnerships for Adventures on the Gorge, Thomas J. “TJ” Obrokta Jr., president and chief executive officer for Encova Insurance, and Diane Strong-Treister, president and franchise owner for Manpower of WV.
Crystal Smith, teaching professor in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, attended the 15th annual National Association of Equine Affiliated Academics Conference last month in Delaware to personally receive the Senior Faculty Award.
Alice Craig established the William Rankin Craig Memorial Scholarship in honor of her late husband, a Morgantown native and College of Law alumnus who was blind. The scholarship provides financial support for students in the College of Law, as determined by the WVU Office of Financial Aid.
